Jetty Quarter faq

Launch pricing is valid for the first 100 units secured. Once 100 units have been secured, pricing will increase.

• Studio: from R7,350 per month.
• One Bedroom: from R9,550 per month.
• Two Bedroom: from R13,400 per month.

Applications are completed online via the Jetty Quarter website. You can browse all available unit types and pricing, select the apartment that suits you and complete your application in one process.

Your combined household net income must exceed three times the monthly rental amount of the apartment you are applying for.

• A valid South African ID or passport.
• Your latest bank statements in PDF format.
• Your employment details.
• Fixed salary: latest 3 months of bank statements.
• Commission, overtime or self-employed income: latest 6 months of bank statements.

The minimum lease term at Jetty Quarter is six months.

Yes. You can apply in one of three ways:

Yes. A once-off, non-refundable Lease Administration fee of R1,250 is required to proceed with your application.

Yes. A deposit equal to a minimum of one month's rent is required, and may be set at one and a half to two months' rent depending on your credit assessment and lease structure, such as a joint application. Your letting agent will confirm the exact amount once your application has been reviewed. The deposit is held for the duration of your lease and refunded subject to the terms of your lease agreement.

To secure a unit, pay the R1,250 non-refundable lease administration fee. This secures your chosen unit for two weeks.

Within those two weeks, pay 50% of your deposit to secure the unit through to your move-in date. The 50% deposit forms part of your total deposit, which equals one month's rent.

The full outstanding balance must be paid before your move-in date.

Viewings are only arranged once your application and documents have been submitted and reviewed, and are conducted during the following times:

• Mondays, 11h00 to 16h00
• Wednesdays, 13h00 to 16h30
• Saturdays, 11h00 to 16h00

Jetty Quarter offers three apartment types with launch pricing available for the first 100 deals:

• Studio: 16sqm to 33sqm, from R7,350 per month.
• One Bedroom: 31sqm to 36sqm, from R10,050 per month.
• Two Bedroom: 49sqm, from R13,400 per month.

The following charges apply in addition to your monthly rental:

All charges above are current at time of publish and may be subject to change as increases are received from the City of Cape Town or third-party suppliers. Certain bank charges may apply depending on your selected payment method and financial institution.

Yes. Residents are required to take out appropriate contents insurance to cover personal property against loss, theft and damage. The building and communal areas are insured by the Landlord, but this does not cover personal belongings inside your apartment.

Yes. Secure parking is available in the building at R1,550 per month per vehicle. Parking can be added to your lease application. Parking is subject to availability and is not guaranteed as part of your lease.

Yes. Free 15Mbps uncapped fibre internet is included in every apartment.

Yes. Fibre upgrade options are available at an additional cost.

Jetty Quarter apartments are unfurnished. A limited number of Move-In Ready units are available, which include a bed base and bedside table. All other units are handed over as empty, self-catering apartments ready for you to make your own.

Checkers, Bootlegger Coffee, Golden Clipper Barber and a 24-hour laundry facility are all located on the ground floor of the building.

Yes. Although Jetty Quarter does not have an on-site gym, there are several options within easy walking distance. Virgin Active Foreshore is located at 21 Lower Long Street, directly next door to the building.

Planet Fitness Cape Town City is at the corner of Lower Burg and Riebeek Street, approximately an 8-minute walk.

Planet Fitness Signature is at 117 Strand Street in De Waterkant, approximately a 6-minute walk.

Yes. Although Jetty Quarter does not have an on-site pool, there are two options within easy reach. Virgin Active Foreshore at 21 Lower Long Street, directly next door, includes a lap pool as part of their membership facilities. For a public option, Long Street Baths on Long Street in the CBD is within walking distance and is open to the public.

Yes. Jetty Quarter has a rooftop terrace with city views, available to all residents.

The building has 24-hour security, CCTV throughout, and biometric access control. All visitors must be registered using the visitor access system on arrival.

Unfortunately, pets and domestic animals of any kind are NOT permitted at Jetty Quarter.

Unfortunately, children under the age of 16 may NOT reside in the building. Children may visit but must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

Unfortunately, Jetty Quarter does NOT accommodate undergraduate students.

Smoking is only permitted outside the building, no less than 5 metres from the entrance. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all communal areas, hallways, stairwells and inside apartments.

No. Short-stay letting is strictly prohibited. All leases are standard fixed-term residential agreements.

Yes. All visitors must be registered using the visitor access system or the Ithemba Residents App on arrival. Residents are responsible for the behaviour of their visitors at all times.

Business operations from the premises require prior written approval. Requests can be submitted to [email protected].

Excessive noise is not permitted at any time. Radios, music players, instruments and televisions may not disturb other residents or neighbours. Residents are responsible for ensuring their visitors also comply.
